And the unofficial results are...

With just ninety vacancies and 1318 shortlisted applicants, it was to be expected that I didn't get the job. I'm fine with it, it's my parents who are driving me batty. I know they want and are hoping for the best for me, but it's not doing me any good to be sighing and saying, "You didn't get the job, tsk..." Hello? I was the one who checked. I KNOW I didn't get the job, no need to remind me.

I have this belief that in the long run, everything that happens will eventually be to my benefit/happiness. May not seem like that now, but who knows? Maybe I'll win the lottery some time in the future - because I didn't get the job. Hehe, wishful thinking. It's the only thing keeping me sane. =)

I'm not the kind of person to wallow in self-pity. I like to stay calm and mellow (and other people would think that I don't have a care in the world and I should be trying harder to get a job). I've been through enough disappointments to know that it'll all work out in the end. Of course, the ultimate end always ends in death, doesn't it? And by then, who needs to worry?

End of very short rant. Have a backup plan B and C. Hopefully, I'll go with plan B (take Unemployed Graduates' Training Scheme course) and not plan C (apply for that HSBC Global something-or-other where you try sounding like you're British or American and receiving calls from those areas).

Hmm, wonder when my ASW2020 dividend is going to arrive.

That's it from me. Take care, dear reader.

Sorry that you didn't get it. However, I'm touched by what you wrote that in the long run it is for the better. I did go for PTD exam, 3 day selection and interview. I got called but I let it passed. And I think I am better off now then if I answered the call.

Have a look at this speech by Steve Jobs of Apple computer. It is quite an inspiration. It can be found at

It's okay, Feisal. Thank you for sharing your experience...whoa, you got called? What are you doing now?

Thank you also for sharing that link. It is truly an apt and inspirational speech for my situation. Right now, I'm being pressured by my parents to be a substitute teacher. The SLG course was discontinued due to lack of students. And the 'Saga of Misadventure' continues. XD

hey, me got a fren in that hsbc thingy.
some sort of callcenter.

i think if u wanna go there, be prepared to work very "odd" hours.

really not in-sync wif the malaysian ppl normal working hours.

Tigrrr, I'm in geomatics. Worse working hours than in govt. service but much better pay and perks. Most importantly, I do what I love to do. Still have to worship the govt servants whenever in front of them as they are the client (most of the time).

BTW, what is a 'malaysian people normal working hours'? :-)

try PTD this time, sharlini.

or..u can join fez in hulu langat and become a part timer farmer :D

Hey Xaz! Yeah, I heard about the weird hours. I actually keep weird hours myself. If this thing could be done at home, I'd be set for life! Hehehe...

====================================
You're indeed very lucky, Feisal! What I seem to enjoy doing is tormenting sleazebags in personals sites. Not saying that I am racist, but to get messages calling me 'baby' and 'darling' (esp from those people in Turkey, etc) makes me wanna puke. Guess they don't pay people to do that! Hehehe...

I guess normal Malaysian people working hours would be 9am - 6pm?
====================================

Hidayah, oi...you want me to die or what? Try for the PTD!? I'd collapse before the 2.4km run started. I'd stand and stutter during the debates. Mel would be a better candidate for that. No offense to Fez, but farmers are people who like sweating. I'm not farmer material, unless it's all in air-conditioned comfort. Okaylah...use fan also I don't mind. =D

Hahahaha, good idea, Berend! But I don't think I'd get past security. =Þ

What is stated as your status? Pass, fail or calon simpanan? If your status is calon simpanan, there is a chance you will be offered a position after several months. I know bcos it happened to me.

Hi garfield00, the letter gave me a '2', which is fail. Congrats on being a reserve candidate! Or was this in the past?

Thank you for leaving a comment. =)
